    Forays Into Clamor is the work of Brasilia musician Bruno Sres. Using synthetic sounds, brass, piano, and unorthodox sound design, Sres concocts a beguiling world composed of vast, crackling soundscapes. Like the soundtrack to an imagined science fiction film, or possibly a real future populated by heaving, bleeping machines left behind by humanity, these 9 songs will bore tunnels into anxious hearts.

    Sres has released five albums since 2015. As a musician, Sres has grown accustomed to hearing sound as music: since his earliest memories, the things that have resonated with him have been the ones that have overwhelmed him in a sensory way. From Jeopardy (2015) to Garlands (Sounds et al, 2019), the Brazilian solo artist ‘uses sonic fragments like pieces of clay’ (Richard Allen, A Closer Listen), maintaining a close attention to textural detail.
