  To celebrate the one-year anniversary of Hugo RA Paris' Threaded Habitat (Jacktone/Beacon Sound, 2019), Beacon Sound presents a series of stand-out remixes from the album. From Roche's atmospheric and psychedelic updating of Medieval Vessel to the tremolo-bent rhythms of Earthen Sea’s version of Gentle Giant, each piece has been thoroughly re-imagined by its respective remixer, resulting in the perfect companion piece to the original album.
  
  Threaded Habitat garnered positive feedback from websites like FACT (“a raw and exploratory approach to techno”) and XLR8R (“the producer’s cinematic form…continues to impress”) and was the first album released under the artist’s birth name after two full-lengths as Lavender. An accomplished scholar and synthesist, Paris has worked with 4MS to develop their polyphonic modular instrument SWN and was also part of the Nobel Prize-winning LIGO Project at MIT. The French-born artist incorporates house, techno, and ambient music into a visceral and intimate sound that seems to breathe on its own despite being created primarily by machines.
