Lost Tribe Sound A good friend of mine bought this for me on cassette. One of the coolest things to receive surprise music in the mail, that is this superb! I've not even heard the original album, but this collection of reworks is alive, cohesive, incredibly detailed and of the highest quality. Don't lump this in with your average haphazard remix album, you'll be missing out. I mean, Masayoshi Fujita, Julia Kent, Duane Pitre... c'mon.

Joe Borreson Wonderful set of remixes/reworks from many superstars in the experimental music world. Just as good as the incredible original album which I also highly recommend. Hard to pick a favorite, but this the Saariselka one is pretty and billowing. Favorite track: Seen (Saariselka Rework).

Following the release of Lower River, one rework was commissioned for each piece on the album. The project serves as a counterpart accentuation to directly accompany the original material. The artists were thoughtfully selected and asked to reinterpret the compositions with no limitations or guidelines in place. The results beautifully range from simple timbral shifts sweeping across to drastic world extension and reshaping. The collection now breathes as a unique air billowing through the Lower River.
